Which kit for your Grand Caravan

All three models fit your Grand Caravan. The Samhall, Hygge and Lya keep the same style and features from one minivan to the next. But each kit is built for your Grand Caravan: everything is moulded to its shapes and dimensions to make the most of the space. So the choice comes down to how you travel.

Samhall. Our most versatile model, made for two. Full-width 48 × 72 in bed, built-in kitchen you can use inside (sink, electric pump and two 11 L water jugs), removable table and four large drawers.

Hygge. For people who mostly travel solo and want the most storage. The bed is 38 × 72 in, and the space it frees up becomes an extra unit with two vertical drawers and an upper cabinet. Same kitchen as the Samhall.

Lya. The simplest, lightest and most open. Full-width 48 × 72 in bed and four drawers, no kitchen. It's also the one that gives you the most freedom to keep second-row seats.

Compatible years and versions

We make our kits for the 2008 to 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan. It stayed the same through all those years, until production ended in 2020. A 2009 or a 2019, it's the same kit.

The 2008 to 2016 Chrysler Town and Country has the same interior as the Grand Caravan, so it takes the same kits.

The Chrysler Grand Caravan is a different vehicle, despite the name. It takes the same kit as the Chrysler Pacifica.

Is your Grand Caravan older than 2008, or are you not sure about the year? Write to us, we'll be happy to check with you.

The rear cargo space

It stays free, with all three models. Removing the third-row seats frees up a big space at the back of your Grand Caravan, and our kits are designed to leave it to you. People often ask if that's only true for some models. It isn't, the Samhall, the Hygge and the Lya all keep it accessible.

It's the perfect spot for bigger things, like bins, a cooler or your outdoor gear.

Under the bed, you also get four drawers. On the Samhall, two open from the rear hatch and two from the front of the sofa.

Installation and lead time

Installation is included in the price of the kit. We do it at our shop near Saint-Hyacinthe, and it takes about 2 hours. Plenty of customers drive for hours to get here, and in most cases, you come in and leave the same day with your kit installed.

Third-row seats need to be removed before your appointment. For the second row, we'll confirm ahead of time what works for your kit.

The lead time is usually 4 to 6 weeks after you order. It's an estimate, and we set the installation date with you. Each kit is built for your vehicle, so we don't keep any in stock.

A deposit of $2,000 for the Samhall and the Lya, or $2,500 for the Hygge, confirms your order and books your spot in production.

See a kit in person

We welcome you by appointment at our shop. Our demo Samhall is installed in a Dodge Grand Caravan or a 2021 or newer Toyota Sienna, depending on the time. If you'd like to see it in a Grand Caravan, tell us when you book and we'll confirm which vehicle it'll be in.

Live far away? We can do the tour over a video call.

Caravan camper questions

Equipped Dodge Grand Caravan by the water, bikes on the back

Yes, the second-row seats can stay folded in the floor. With the Samhall or the Hygge, the passenger-side seat stays usable, even with the kitchen: that gives you three seats. The kitchen blocks access to the one behind the driver while it's in place. If you need that fourth seat, the kitchen comes out in 5 to 10 minutes, ideally with two people. With the Lya, which has no kitchen, the second-row seats stay usable. That's the Stow 'n Go advantage: you pull the seats out when you have passengers, then fold them into the floor once you get there.

Yes, it's a removable camping kit. Nothing is screwed into the walls. The kit is designed to anchor and mould itself right into the vehicle, and everything is secure while you drive. It can be taken out and put back when needed, even though it isn't meant to come out every weekend.

The fridge drawer on the Samhall and the Hygge is 14.81 in wide by 22.875 in deep inside. The height depends on the vehicle, so send us your fridge model and we'll check it for your Grand Caravan.
